ABOUT | Dan Larsh

Dan is an award-winning video editor based in Los Angeles. He grew up in Rhode Island where he found his passion for film, embarking on various projects he wrote & directed, setting him on a trajectory to turn his passion into a career. He attended the University of Rhode Island, earning a BA in Film / Media and a BA in Communication Studies.

In Rhode Island, Dan worked for various video production companies and live-studio environments as an editor, including Animus Studios, WJAR NBC10, URI, and Dr. Robert Ballard's Nautilus Live, before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a feature film editor.

Dan's strengths as an editor are his attention to detail, love for collaboration, and ability to find the heart of the story. A lover of all genres, Dan approaches each project with an open mind and an open heart. Some of his favorite movies are Titanic (1997), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Speed (1994), Sister Act (1992), and Airplane (1980).

While Dan's passion lies in film editing, no project is too small (or big) for him, with each experience being a steppingstone toward his dream. Above all else, Dan values networking and the opportunity to collaborate with fellow artists and visionaries to learn as much as he can about the industry he is so passionate about. Dan brings a positive energy to each project, often being told he's a "comfort in the chaos" with his memorable laugh.

In his (limited) spare time, Dan enjoys hiking, being a beach bum, travel & exploration, live-streaming, protesting cults, playing simulation games, and working on passion projects with his creative friends.

Dan lives with his partner and their 10-year-old English Cocker Spaniel in LA.
